When I walk across the campus, usually several times a day, I run into various people, some I know, and many I do not. When I see people laughing and smiling, when I look around me at the majestic red-brick buildings, or stand overlooking the Quad, I realize what it means to be a Maroon. To be a Maroon is to be proud. I am proud of work students, faculty, and staff accomplish, I am proud of the simple, and elegant look of the campus, and I am increasingly proud to be a Maroon!

We should not have a mascot, I feel like the classic color gives the accurate depiction of the class and tradition of Roanoke College.
